Roma Singleton Hone
1938 – 2016
Roma Singleton Hone 78 Died September 6, 2016 in her home in Springville Utah after a long battle with cancer. Roma was born July 4, 1938 to Mansel Grover Singleton and Esta Viola Peirce and grew up in Springville with her 12 brothers and sisters. In 1958 she married Roland Dale Hone and they had five boys and a girl, they later divorced. Roma worked as a foster grandma in the Nebo School District for many years and loved working with the kids in kindergarten. Roma took care of her two sons in her home until their deaths; she was a caretaker of many and loved by all. Roma loved to read, crochet and she made beautiful quilts.
Roma was preceded in death by her sons Alfred, Bobby, and Benjamin Hone, both of her parents, her sisters Arlene Barney and Mary Kathleen Singleton.
Roma is survived by her sons Arthur Hone of Springville, Utah and Christopher (Kimberly) Hone also of Springville, Utah, and her daughter Stacie (Mark) Kovatch of Springville, Utah, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many that she considered her children and grandchildren. She is also survived by many of her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the LDS Church on 1257 South 400 East, Springville, UT where a viewing will be Monday, September 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
