Ronald Wayne Blair's Obituary
Ronald Wayne Blair, 83 of Clearfield Utah passed away on May 25, 2026. He was born Dec. 30, 1942 in Provo, UT, the oldest child of Dewain M. Blair and Leone Madson Blair.
He lived most ofhis life in Clearfield, UT. Ron graduated from Davis High School. He worked at Hill Air Force Base, first as a firefighter and then as a fire inspector. After retiring he began a second career as a janitor for Davis County School District. He spent a year living with his daughter in Buena Vista, VA.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission for the church in Australia. He served in many callings in the church, but his favorite by far was Scoutmaster. He served in many capacities in the Boy Scouts of America, including as the summer camp director at Camp Newfork, Wyoming. He was awarded the Silver Beaver for his work in scouting.
Ron spent many hours in his later life indexing records for Family Search as well as serving in the temple. He also spent many hours doing embroidery and cross stitching. He made friends wherever he went. He had a strong faith in and love for his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
He married Jane Roubinet in the Salt Lake Temple on May 25, 1967, and passed on their 59th anniversary.
He is survived by his wife and three of his children; Naomi (Richard) Gardner, Buena Vista, VA, Amélie Merrick, Clearfield and Aaron (Margaret) Blair, Rawlins WY, grandchildren; Joshua (Karyn) Gardner, Natural Bridge Station, VA, Daniel (Shambray) Gardner, Logan, UT, Christyna (Collin) Moore, Urbana, IL, Sarah (J) Barton, Logan, UT, Bethany (Tommy) Lloyd, Logan, UT, Abigail DeGroot, Clearfield, Thomas Demeter(fiancée Jaimee Gordon), Clearfield, Andrew (Brandy) Blair, Riverton, WY, Amie (Spencer) Sommervold, Belle Fourche SD, Micheal Blair, Spearfish, SD, Max Blair, Rawlins, WY, Great-Grand Children; Tyrion and Lincoln Somermervold, Jaxon Blair, and Ivy and Eden Gardner, Brother; Paul (Karen) Blair, Layton, Sisters; Jean Anderson, Clearfield and Barbara Blair,Lewiston, ID and Brother-in-Law Don Anderson, Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two of his sisters and their husbands, Mary (Reginald) Tenny and Connie (Micheal) Johnson, as well as two children, Mary Françoise Blair and Spencer Blair, and Granddaughter Julia Gardner and Great-grandson, Bradley Blair.
