Ronald "Ron" ("Ronnie") Vincent Fowler's Obituary
Ronald “Ron” (“Ronnie”) Vincent Fowler, 70, of Orem, Utah, passed away on April 16, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his three adoring daughters.
Ron was born in New York on November 24, 1955, to William and Grace Fowler. The family lived in Levittown, New York, where Ron grew up with his three brothers and two sisters. As a young man, Ron joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and shortly thereafter served a successful mission to Ireland. He later attended Brigham Young University, where he was a proud member of the lacrosse team. He eventually settled in California, where he raised three daughters, and later returned to Utah for work. He then stayed there to be near his children as they attended Brigham Young University and built families of their own.
Ron had a lifelong love of mechanics and figuring out how things worked. A true “MacGyver” at heart, he approached every project—whether in carpentry, repairing machinery, or building airplanes—with creativity, precision, and determination. He founded his own business, TriCity Maintenance, where he used his talents not only to provide for himself but also to serve others, often helping friends, neighbors, and even strangers without hesitation. The smell of sawdust in the workshop or the sight of a flashlight on a belt loop will forever be associated, for many, with Ron.
Ron was known for his kindness, humor, creativity, and deep love of family. He always had an adventurous spirit and never hesitated to join his children and grandchildren on road trips, hikes, and spontaneous outings—often dropping everything with the reminder that, “work can wait—family is more important.” He had a deep love of U.S. history and politics and could outmatch nearly anyone in trivia and facts. His humor—quick, playful, and often accompanied by laughter at his own jokes—left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
As a boy, Ron’s mother would tell her children to, “save your fork—dessert is coming.” He carried that saying throughout his life as a quiet expression of faith and hope, even asking to be buried with a fork in his hand as a reminder that the best is yet to come.
Ron is survived by his daughters Tawna Fowler, Devon Searle (Aaron), and Amber Sumsion (Kevin), and his cherished grandchildren Chloe, Abigail, Lily, Michael, Kiara, and Greyson. He is also survived by his siblings William Scott Fowler (Sherry Deacon), Eileen Kesnig, Paul Fowler (Patricia), George Fowler, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathy Deacon, his brother-in-law Joel Kesnig, and his grandson Max Searle.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 1450 S 800 E, Orem, UT 84097, with a viewing at 9 a.m. and the funeral at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Provo Cemetery, 610 S State Street, Provo, UT 84606.
Ron’s humor, generosity, ingenuity, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
