Ronald Kaldahl's Obituary
Ronald Kaldahl, 69, of Salt Lake City, Utah, went home to be with Jesus on March 16, 2026. Ron is survived by his children, whom he carried in his heart and always wished for their very best. He is also survived by close friends who shared his life’s journey with kindness and shared faith.
Born November 1956, Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a dedicated member of Calvary Salt Lake and his familiar face was seen every Sunday morning, where he was known for his friendliness and willingness to help. His faith was not just on Sunday but throughout his life’s walk.
An avid outdoorsman, Ron was truly at home on the trails and open waters. He loved hiking through the summer wildflowers; snowshoeing through the deep winter silence, and navigating a quiet lake on his boat with his fishing pole in hand.
Ron could also be found in his yard tending to his beloved chickens and turkeys. He took great pleasure in the simple company of his birds, finding a unique sense of purpose caring for them.
For a number of years, Ron made his living behind the wheel as a professional truck driver. He took pride in his work, seeing the country through a windshield and covering the long stretches of the highway. He was often found talking to friends on his adventures, sharing stories from the road.
His spiritual journey continued every Sunday evening with his prayer group. Those who gathered with him will remember his insightful prayers. Ron was a brother in Christ whose presence provided a sense of shared grace.
Ron leaves behind a rich legacy of family, friendship and a community of believers who loved him dearly and who will miss his adventurous spirit.
Above all, Ron was a man of faith and had an unwavering love for Christ.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
And as Ron would affirm, “Amen, Amen, Amen!”
In his honor, a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 10 at 3:00 at Calvary Salt Lake, located at 460 Century Dr W, Murray, UT 84123.
