RONALD JAY SMALLEY
Ronald Jay Smalley passed away quietly at his home in Salt Lake City on August 15th, 2012 after a long illness. Born January 21st, 1942 in Niles, CA. to Dewey J. Smalley and Anna Elizabeth Pitts. Ron was raised and went to school in the Reno, NV. area where he ran a motorcycle business and later was involved in the family real estate business, and most recently worked as a building contractor in California.
Ron is survived by two sisters, Alexandra Potash, and Susan Tompkins. Two children, Eric Martin, and Cynthia Adrienne, and former wife Dorothy Ainsworth.
Ron’s many hobby interests included special interest automobiles, motorcycles, handicrafts of many types, and gardening, to name a few.
He made many friends surrounding those activities. Ron will be missed by family, friends, and associates who all wish him well.
