Ronda Lyn Jones' Obituary
Ronda Lyn Jones, 75, Riverton, Utah, passed away on March 2, 2026 at The Peaks in South Jordan, Utah.
Born on August 4, 1950, in Oakland, CA to Reo Robbins and Rosemary Frances Worthington. Ronda graduated from Skyline High School and went on to get a Bachelor's degree in History at the University of Utah. She married in 1972 and adopted Allen Jr. as her own, then had two children Ryan and Farrah.
She was a woman of remarkable strength and determination, always willing to do whatever was necessary to care for her family. Over the years she wore many hats, working in insurance, serving as an assistant to an orthopedic surgeon, pursuing her interest in genealogy, and even spending time at the Amazon warehouse. More often than not, she held two jobs at once to support and provide for her children.
Throughout her life she enjoyed quilting, genealogy, needlework, sewing, gardening, and reading—hobbies that reflected her creativity, curiosity, and appreciation for the stories and details of everyday life. She loved animals. She would feed the stray cats as well as the neighbors sheep. Through her work and her interests, she preserved both the traditions and the history of the family she loved so deeply.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Allen Ray Jones Jr. (Paula), and Ryan; and her daughter, Farrah Johnson (Shane); and her 6 grandchildren, Zachary, Ashton (Devin), Bailey (Thomas), Jordyn, Austin, and Peyton; 3 great-grandchildren. Ronda is also survived by her sister Rean and brother Aaron and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reo Robbins and Rosemary Francis Worthington.
She spent her life preserving the stories of those who came before her, and now her own story will live on through the family who loved her.
A celebration of Ronda's life will be held at 11 AM on March 10th at 663 W 400 N, Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045. Luncheon immediately after, then graveside at 2pm located at 10055 S State St, Sandy, Utah 84070.
