Rose Marie Lund's Obituary
Rose Marie Larsen Lund (77) left this earthly existence on January 27, 2021 @ 1:09 pm surrounded by her 4 surviving children just 18 days after her First-born Nancy. Rosie was born August 18, 1943 to Aireal Humphrey Larsen and Marie Olson Petersen in Brigham City, Utah. She was premature only weighing 4lbs. 8 oz. . . .
Rosie lived in Garland, Utah in her early years attending school there until her 6th grade year at which point her family moved to Bountiful, Utah transferring to Bountiful Elementary. She attended Bountiful Junior High School where she met and started dating the love of her life Kent Holbrook Lund. Rosie attended Bountiful High School for her sophomore year; she quit high school one month into her junior year to marry Kent. Kent and Rosie married October 9, 1959 at the Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
Rosie and Kent enjoyed 52 amazing years together prior to his passing in July of 2011. She missed Kent every day until they were re-united on January 27, never to part again. Rosie loved her family more than she loved herself. We have ALL been blessed by that love and service that was became her life’s mission. C.S. Lewis said, “The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only – and that is to support the ultimate career.” Rosie exemplified this ultimate career to the fullest as Wife, Mother, and Grandmother & Great-Grandmother. She was also a talented Florist for Lund Floral in Bountiful, Genealogist, and excelled at Knitting, Crocheting and Cross-stitch to name a few. Rosie briefly worked at K.D. Craft in Bountiful.
She was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints earning an Individual Achievement Award for outstanding attendance in 1956 and 57 as well as earning her Honor Bee Certificate. Rosie also found joy in serving in the Primary, Family History & Relief Society.
Those left to carry on are her children. Sallie (Mike) Huntington, Todd (Jenn) Lund, Jason (Lori) Lund, Andrew Lund. Grandchildren, Daniel Huntington, Kaysie (CJ) Sarvello, Reilly (Colton) Woods, Jordan, Jackson, Morgan, Josh & Caleb Lund, Alexis (Bridger) Kofford, Ella, Alora, Annie & Rebecca Lund, Taylor (Cheyanne) Lund, Spencer and Adam Lund. Great Grandchildren Oliver & Clara Sarvello, Everett & Hyrum Lund. Her Sister JoAnn Ames, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & in laws.
Rosie has been welcomed back in to Heaven by her True Love Kent Lund, Her daughter Nancy Lund, son Larry Lund, Granddaughter Michelle Huntington & Son in Law Spencer Blair. She was also proceeded in death by her parents Aireal Larsen & Marie Petersen, her Daddy Bill Frandsen, Brother Farrell Frandsen, Brother in Law Udell Ames as well as those numerous Ancestors she worked so tirelessly to find.
“When the gift of a lovely thought and lasting memory is placed into the heart of another, then you have given as Angels give.” Mom thank you for giving to us as Angels give!

Rosie’s family wishes to thank the Heroic care staff with Layton City EMS, McKay Dee Hospital & Intermountain GIP Hospice.
A brief visitation will be held one hour prior to Rose Marie’s Services for those that would like to express condolences, Friday February 05, 2021 11 – 11:45a.m. Services will begin at Noon.
