Rosemary Iskow's Obituary
Rosemary Binkowski Iskow finished her well-lived life on this beautiful earth she loved on a peaceful Sunday morning, September 9, 2012.
Rosemary was born in Dearborn, MI, Jan 26, 1930. She married our Father Alvin on August 23, 1963. Our Father later moved us to Port Austin, Mi in 1968. She lost her beloved husband on October 19, 1987. She was then baptized October 7, 1989 into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Rosemary had a passion for cooking. She also enjoyed being a foster grandparent, and being a member of the American Legion in which she held various offices. She loved Christmas-time and making pizza on Friday night, a tradition that continues today. She loved the lavender color and sweet scent of the Lilac. She also loved Evergreen trees that she planted when we were kids and are now full grown. Our dear Mother loved flowers and would plant all kinds every spring, summer and fall. She had a zest for life and loved the apple, birch and oak tree in the yard. She loved the country and everything about it. She loved wild flowers; humming birds and the Robin was mom’s favorite bird. She also loved to read mystery detective novels. Rosemary loved being a Mother and everything that came with it. And she fulfilled that calling with all honor and dignity. She moved to Utah with her son, Norman and his family in 1991. She fell in love with the mountains. She frequented Temple Square many times. She attended the first General Conference in the new conference center in down town Salt Lake City. She had a special testimony of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She had a special testimony of the Bible and especially of the Book of Mormon. Rosemary enjoyed going to the House of the Lord and did so many times. Rosemary was the giving mother of nine children: Allen, Gerald, Darlene, Judy, Sally, Larry, Leonard, Norman and David. She is survived by her brother Valentine JR. She is preceded in death by her parents Valentine and Magdalene Binkowski, her husband Alvin Jacob, brother’s Henry and Bernard, son Gerald, and daughter Judy. She leaves behind a lasting heritage of many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Rosemary wanted everyone to remember that she will always love you. Mom, we love you and honor you as a Mother. We all look forward when our time comes to be reunited with you.
