Rosio Patricia Chacon's Obituary
Rosio Patricia Chacon- Our loving Daughter, Mother, Sister, of West Valley, Utah, at the age of 30 years old passed away on May 8, 2026 at home in her sleep.
Born on February 28, 1996, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carolina Edith Poleviyaoma and Jose De Jesus Chacon Razo. Rosio attended Granger High School where she met her former boyfriend Alonso Gutierrez and later had one beautiful daughter Melanie Reina Gutierrez Chacon.
Rosio was known for her enthusiasm for life, her honesty and being the life of the party. She loved makeup, dancing and playing with her daughter.
Being Melanie’s mother was one of Rosio’s greatest joys, and loved spending every moment with family.
Some of her hobbies include hiking and bowling.
Her sisters would describe her as loving, funny and a little bit crazy.
She is survived by her parents, Mother Carolina Edith Poleviyaoma, Father Jose De Jesus Chacon Razo. Also, by her former boyfriend Alonso Gutierrez; her daughter Melanie Reina Gutierrez Chacon; and her seven siblings, Jose, Andrea, Kierra, Lorrita, Edith, Angel & Rebeca. She was preceded in death by her cousins Nico Christopher Patino and Yolanda C Hair. Rosio leaves behind a large extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends who she loved.
A celebration of Rosio’s life will be held Monday May 18, 2026 at Landmark Apostolic Church, 3950 S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, from 11:30a.m. - 1:00p.m.
Burial will follow at Elysian Gardens, 1075 E 4580 S Salt Lake City, Utah. 1:15 - 2:30PM.
After the burial there will be a pot luck, back at Landmark Apostolic Church.
