Rosita Schwenke's Obituary
Rosita "Zitta" Schwenke born February 6, 1969 in Auala, Samoa returned peacefully to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on August 17, 2022. Our beloved Mother, Daughter, Aunty, Cousin and Friend was also received with much joy and anticipation by her late father Louis, sister Faifuaina, brother Valentini and nephew Alitini.
Our mother was best known for her humility, sacrifice and service. As a youth she was her parents favorite because of her obedience and work ethic. She was heavily relied on to cook, clean and care for her younger siblings all while attending Wilson High School and playing volleyball.
As a young adult she would take on the responsibility of being the breadwinner for her mother and 7 siblings when they tragically and unexpectedly lost their father in 1988. She would work several odd jobs to make sure food and shelter was provided without complaints. Most recently, our mother worked at American Pride Cleaning Co. for Cleaning Services and Henkle Corporation to provide for our family. As our mamma she would always work long shifts at work but always remembered to spend time with us and listen to what we had to say even if it was bad. Mom always had a humble heart towards family, friends and her kids. She always made sure she gave us as her kids the best of life she could offer us. And for that we are forever grateful for the daily sacrifices she’s made throughout her beautiful life. MOM, we will always remember with gratitude your love, time, talents and money shared to help lighten the burdens of your family and friends. And doing it all with a SMILE!
