I'm really sad to hear that Russ has passed.
I met Russ in 1988, when I came up to Alta to pick up my ex -husband. We got talking & he told me to apply for the job in the main office. I did & got the job. Russ, Jeannie & I got real close, in fact I used to call them Mom & Dad. They both treated me like their daughter. We had a lot of good times & long talks.
Over the years we let time fly by & haven't kept in touch. For that I'm deeply sorry. I think about you both always. Russ RIP I love you & will always be your daughter.

We met Russ later in his life through Barb. He was always so kind and interested in my girls and I am grateful that we had the chance to meet him. It was my pleasure to take care of Russ… Despite his health issues he was such a gentleman and was always so appreciative. As I read through his obituary and learn of all of his accomplishments it is easy to understand why he was respected and loved by so many people. His extensive body of work has had a permanent positive impact on one of my favorite places… Little Cottonwood Canyon. I am forever grateful… And anytime I ski a groomed run I will think of Russ and pay tribute to his many contributions. Now is the time to celebrate the life of this great man and his many contributions. I will truly miss taking care of you…Mahalo for being Russ Harmer…You will be missed by many…forgotten by no one

Russ lived a full life, despite the health struggles he had later in life. He was blessed with Jeannie as they shared adventures with travel that spanned the world and the love and care they had for each other that never burned dim. May Russ rest in peace after a life well lived.
