Russell Bland Gregersen Jr's Obituary
Russell Bland Gregersen Jr. – Russell B. Gregersen Jr., 53, passed away unexpectedly August 2nd, 2022. He was born June 9th, 1969 in Seattle, Washington to Joan Gregersen (Beckstead) and Russell Gregersen Sr.
Russell graduated from South High School class of ‘87. Russell went on to marry childhood friend Venus Pierson (Engstrum) 2001, they later divorced. He married Theresa Gregersen (Cameron) February 5th, 2022. They were married in Magna, Utah by very special and close friend Irene Bozich. Their journey had just begun.
Russell had a passion for culinary arts and spent most of his time in the food industry. He enjoyed biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking and being in nature and spending his time with loved ones. One of his favorite places to visit was the San Rafel Swell, he would often visit his grandmother Blye Gregersen on these trips. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed playing the bass. Russell was very fond of art in many forms and it was shown with his love of tattoos, most of which he’d performed on himself and others. Russell dedicated his life to AA/NA. He supported his AA/NA family as well as himself on the road to recovery.
Russell has found peace and Serenity, and is greeted by his parents Joan Beckstead and Russell Gregersen Sr., and his brother Marty Sessions.
He is survived by his wife Theresa Gregersen and step son Bo Meadows. His siblings: Tommy and Heather sessions (children), Denny Sessions (children), Janet Sessions (children). Other family members include: Edee and John Wagers (children), Anna and Steve Ruttenbur (children), Venus Pierson (children) and many friends who he considered family.
His celebration of life will be held at 1pm – 4pm, Sunday, September 18th, 2022 at Murray Park Pavillion #1. There will be an open mic for those who would like to share a memory with the family. There will also be photos of Russell through various stages of his life to commemorate who he was. At 2:30pm there will be a dove release as tribute to the 12 Step Program and transition from his physical life into what is beyond.
