Ruth Ann Say Mastin's Obituary
Ruth Ann Say Mastin has passed away at the age of 69 on December 23, 2013. Born Ruth Ann Say to Irving & Lillian Say of Oakfield Alabama, New York on November 18, 1944. Ruth married Carl Mastin on January 4, 1964. Together with their children they moved to Utah in August of 1978. Ruth loved to cook! She held many jobs doing so at Castaway's of Orem, Renee's Café of Orem, JC Mickelson's of Nephi, and seasonally with Bucks & Bulls Guided Hunts. Ruth and Carl co-founded the TNT Muzzleloader Club. She spent her last years working as an area manager for QC Holdings. Ruth's laugh and smile were extremely contagious, as well as her always positive outlook on life. She was an immediate friend to everyone she met! She was an amazing lady who was influential in the lives of so many! Ruth was preceded in death by her mother and father, and Granddaughter Alysha Kaycee Nay. She is survived by her loving husband Carl Mastin, her sister Carol Buck, and brothers Charles (Mary), Robert (Betty), and her brother-in-law Lester Mastin. Also survived by her six beautiful children: Tammy Mastin Farley, Mary Gull (Arnold), Charlie (Nikki), Rosemarie Mastin, Betty Rohbock (James), and Beverly Newman (Nick Schiro); 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as hundreds of children who knew her as Mom, Ma, or Grandma. Ruth has touched the lives of so many and will be forever missed. No services will be held, but instead a celebration of her life on Mother's Day weekend in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name at Zion's Bank.
