Ruth Mary Simpson White's Obituary
Ruth Mary Simpson White (83) of Alpine, Utah was born on 16 September, 1940 in Bournemouth England, twin daughter along with her sister Pauline Phoebe Simpson Dahl to their father James Henry Simpson and their mother Pauline Eva Earle Simpson. She passed away peacefully and calmly at home on August 30, 2024.
Ruth emigrated to the United States to live with her sister in West Valley City, Utah in 1968. She married her husband, Don, of 53 years in December of 1970 in Salt Lake City, Utah in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband, Don, children, Michael (Marinda) and daughter Kimberly (Derek) Tolboe, sister Pauline and five grandchildren.
She was a talented accountant and bookkeeper for several firms and individual companies, but never let her profession interfere with keeping a beautiful home, yard and garden with plenty of flowers and plants, and a great abundance of love for her family, friends and neighbors. Her love of pets, classical music and opera, service and kindness to all will not be forgotten. We will miss her dearly.
Much thanks to the wonderful, kind staff of Dignity Home Health and Hospice for caring so well for her and the rest of the family in the last few months of her life. Your service to us is much appreciated.
