In late 2014 I taught a ham radio Technician course at BYU, where I first met Ryan. Although he wasn't in charge of the Risk Management team I was teaching, he seemed like a natural leader, and helped me set up for the class and get the equipment and tools I needed. After the course Ryan took and easily passed the ham radio exam that January and became KG7QKJ. A couple of months later he requested and received the vanity call sign of WE4GTG, which he held for the rest of his life. Every few days I could hear Ryan on the radio announcing that he was mobile or listening, followed by conversations with me or his dad Ray Rawlins KG7EKZ.
I will miss you, Ryan. 7-3.

There's so many.. but the latest one is my move to Oklahoma he came over to Ray and Rosemary's house to help me move all my stuff into a u-haul, when we got done he said to me "you know Victoria, there's not many people I would move a washer and dryer for but you are one of them. If I don't see you again before you move, I hope you have a great life out in Oklahoma."

I worked with Ryan for about 10 years. I had just gotten hired on and we started talking about guns. He was researching how to modify his .22 Ruger so you didn't have to use a second hand to rack in another round. We decided we would work on our guns early in the morning (at the office) before everyone else showed up to work. And that is what we did. We both modified our .22 rifles, reassembled them, and then got to work. Its just a funny memory I have of some of the shenanigans we would do. After work that day, we went up on lake mountain and shot our guns to make sure everything was functional. That was probably one of my best days at work. :)
Gonna miss you, Ryan, but I know we'll see each other again!

I remember Ryan’s joviality: he had such a big belly laugh that could fill the entire room. He had such a fun sense of humor, and his laugh was so full of joy. Until the time Ryan’s family hears his laugh again, I pray tenderness over his family amidst such sorrow.
