Samuel Audia's Obituary
Samuel Audia passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023 at age 74 in Ogden Utah. He was born in Pittsburgh PA to Salvatore (Merk) Audia and Anna Locaitis. He grew up in Pittsburgh, where he enjoyed a large extended family. As a young man, Sam moved with his family to Concord CA, where he lived until recently.
Sam was an avid football fan, it was Pittsburgh Steelers all the way, as he cheered his team on, watching many games at his beloved Moose Lodge in Concord CA. It was there that he made many lifelong friends, he enjoyed playing occasionally on their Bocce Ball team, he was also their biggest cheerleader when he wasn’t playing. One of his highlights was flying to Pittsburgh for a Steeler game in 2018 with his family and close friends. He reunited with childhood friends, Kenny and Phil. Many thanks to his cousins for arranging a luncheon with his extended Pittsburgh family. Sam also enjoyed Thanksgivings in Lodi CA and Boise ID, where he was the first to start his favorite dice game, 24.
Sam had limitations from when he was born, but that never stopped him from enjoying life to the fullest. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tease friends and those he loved. Sam gave us many giggles thru the years and we are so thankful for these precious memories.
Sam is survived by his brother, Anthony (Tony) Audia (Cheri) and many friends and a loving extended family.
Among Sam’s favorite foods is pizza. His family is hosting a private Celebration of Life at Ogden Pizzeria on December 14 and another COL will be held at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 567 in Concord CA in 2024.
Sam, you were one of a kind, a fun and generous person, who will be missed and forever loved.
