Jim and I really treasure the seven years that David and Sandra lived in our apartment and became part of our family. We wanted a member of the church to help with our yard work and easy repairs. I advertised in Salt Lake paper hoping to find an LDS couple. They answered, we talked on phone, and on faith they loaded their car and came to Maryland. David did a great job helping us to take care of our yard and multiple tasks around our home place. Sandra was always smiling and positive as she went through numerous procedures with her health particularly her infection in her ankle. When we were called on a three year mission to go to Alabama for Jim to be Mission President there, we never had one worry that everything would be just fine in their trusted hands and care here at home. They were a great example of love and both had a strong faith in the Lord. Our prayers will continue to be with David at this difficult time for him. We are so grateful to have kept our friendship and visited with them each year that we went to Utah to visit our daughter. We saw them both this past May 2018 and they were still in good spirits.
