Sandra Renee Primm DeVore's Obituary
Sandra Renee Primm DeVore (“Sandy”), 63, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on Saturday, August 26.
Sandy was born on November 18, 1959, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alta Lavon Bell Tolman and Jerry Primm. She was a member of the Charlonian drill team at Jordan High School, where she graduated in 1978. Sandy married Terry DeVore on November 25, 1977. Later divorced.
Sandy was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, and Sister. Her family, and her faith in God were extremely important to Sandy. She was a faithful and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sandy enjoyed her time as a temple worker and primary teacher.
As life handed her many challenges, Sandy’s strength was insurmountable and an inspiration to those her life touched. She was known for her enormous heart and unconditional love for her family and friends. Sandy’s benevolent spirit carried over into her career as a Support Specialist for South Valley Training for 13 years.
Sandy’s kindness and compassion for others, resulted in her never meeting a stranger. She loved listening to books on tape, gardening, scrapbooking, and sewing. She loved the color yellow and had a sweet tooth (peanut M&Ms were her favorite), a trait she passed on to many family members. She was a loyal 49ers fan, amongst a family of mostly Dolphins fans, creating some fun rivalries.
Sandy is survived by her 5 children, Chris DeVore, Ben (Julie) DeVore, Aaron (Tisha) DeVore, Tyler (Nikki DeVore/Jeff Morrison) DeVore, and Amy (Christian Gonzalez) DeVore; 11 beautiful grandchildren; Spencer DeVore, Jaxon DeVore, Parker DeVore, Kayden DeVore, Madison DeVore, Charity DeVore, Myka DeVore, Tatum DeVore, Payton DeVore, Riley DeVore, and Melody Gonzalez; Father, Jerry Primm; 2 sisters, Marie Payne and Kaye Primm; 2 brothers, Michael (Ruth) Primm and Dewain (Angela) Tolman. Sandy was preceded in death by her Mother, Alta Lavon Bell Tolman, Step-Father, Mariner “Mern” Tolman, and daughter-in-law Anne DeVore.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Inspiration Hospice and Cottonwood Creek MBK Senior Living.
