A kind, intelligent man, I admired him greatly.
The stories I could tell. I'll just tell one. Driving up the canyon, Scott is explaining to a client why they have large red balls on the overhead power lines; it's to make them visible to low-flying aircraft to keep them from hitting them. "Do they have a big problem with that?" the client asked. Scott's answer took no more than a heartbeat. "No. not with the red balls there."
He never lacked for an answer.
I always looked forward to interacting with uncle Scott at family gatherings. I really appreciated his laid -back demeanor and witty humor. He was always an easy adult for a kid to talk to. Rest easy Uncle Scott! Condolences to Aunt Julie and all my Earl cousins.
Scott was such a quiet example for me. He just kept going even with Parkinson’s. He would give me advice. He showed up to boxing even though I knew it was difficult for him. I watched Juli and Brian work with him every class. I will always remember Scott. Paula and I are so grateful we got the opportunity to meet you. Juli and family you are in our prayers. I loved Scott and Juli. I immediately liked Scott because I served a mission in Brasil the same time although different mission. We enjoyed teasing our wives be speaking Portuguese. I missed out of a lot of interactions soon after Scott's diagnosis. My marriage ended and I moved to Bountiful. And unfortunately I lost contact. Juli, my heart is sad but I am glad that Scott is now free from the disease that plagued his body and mind. I love and miss you my friend. I hope to see you soon. Sincerely, Brent Fairclough
Scott was a great neighbor and we were sad when the Earls moved from our neighborhood.
