Scott Cayton Eyres' Obituary
Scott Cayton Eyres passed away suddenly on June 1, 2022 after a cardiac event. He was born to William G. and Marilyn Cayton Eyres on September 5, 1954 in Pittsfield, Mass. The family moved back to their home state of Texas, where Scott grew up in Dallas, attending W.T. White High School as a member of the marching band. He graduated in 1972 and moved with his parents to Salt Lake City, Utah where he attended Weber State University. Within months of moving to Utah, he met and fell in love with Diane Hanson. They were married on August 30, 1978. He spent his entire career working in the aerospace industry, a passion of his. Starting off as E-Systems, working in the machine shop, and seeing his dad around the office. It later became Raytheon, and then Moog Aircraft. By then he was the head of the Repair Station dealing with Aircraft on the Ground emergencies and repairs.
In 2010, he was sent to work at Moog, Baguio, Philippines where he spent nearly 5 years. He fell in love with the Philippines and the people there. After returning to the states, he retired and focused on his passion for his veggie garden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Melody. He is survived by his wife Diane, daughter Kelli, sister Stephanie (Scott) Little, adopted daughters Amrita (Swadhin) Mahapatra, Manju (Ragesh) Rajendran, Nishtha (Shubham) Verma, and 5 grandchildren Raima, Neil, Mahi, Ashi, Rayaansh and dozens of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Premier Funeral Home 67 E. 8000 S. Midvale, Utah.
