Scott McNalley's Obituary
Scott McNalley, 58, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on September 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on October 19, 1966, in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Betty and Larry McNalley. Scott graduated from High School in Pinedale, Wyoming in 1986 and went on to attend the Phoenix Institute of Technology. He worked at Hill Air Force Base up until his retirement in 2022.
Scott had one child, Kendall McNalley of whom he was exceptionally proud. In 2014 he married Missie Cornelison who lovingly cared for him until his passing. He enjoyed gun collecting, target shooting, baseball, rescuing animals, and especially loved spending time at the family cabin in Wyoming.
Scott proudly served for the US Navy on the USS Mount Vernon and was a veteran of the Gulf War.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry McNalley, maternal and paternal grandparents, an aunt, and three uncles.
Scott is survived by his wife, Missie McNalley, his daughter, Kendall McNalley, his mother and stepfather, Betty and Rod Rasmusson, his brothers, Ken (Brenda) McNalley, Rick (Debbra) McNalley, Steve (Laurie) McNalley and stepbrother Rodney Rasmusson along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, at the family cabin in the Upper Green River area of Wyoming.
Scott will be remembered fondly for his strength, determination, and courage by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
