Scott Leslie Parker's Obituary
Scott Leslie Parker, affectionately known as Scotty, passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on February 2, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Scotty lived a life full of passion, laughter, and love.
In 1977, Scotty proudly joined the United States Air Force, a service he often touted with pride. He was a natural salesman, thriving in various industries throughout his life, including selling boats and safety equipment. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to create a fun-loving karaoke business, aptly named “Karaoke Kriminals,” where he brought joy and entertainment to many.
Scotty was a devoted father and grandfather, survived by his five children: Samuel Anthony Parker, Jeff Kent Parker, Lindsay Ann Parker, Lindsay Michelle Thompson and James Robert Thompson. He cherished his seven grandchildren, supporting them in all their endeavors and showering them with love. His family was his world, and he made friends wherever he went, always welcoming others into his home and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
He is also survived by his bonus mom Rohana Parker, and his siblings: Jodi Parker, Janae Parker, and Kim Parker Sturgis. Scotty was preceded in death by his father, Louis Kent Parker; mother, Pat Johnston Doman; and brother, Michael Parker.
Though no formal funeral services will be held, the family will host a celebration of life wake at a later date, to be determined.
Scotty will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his love for a good party, and his heartfelt catchphrase, “Have I told you lately?”—a testament to his generous heart and the love he shared with those around him.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to share your memories and stories of Scotty, as we celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many.
