Sergio Herculano DeLeon-Stewart's Obituary
Sergio Herculano De Leon Stewart, 29 years old, born March 3rd, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah,
to Tamarind Moreno and Herculano De Leon. Passed September 8th, 2024. Sergio created two
beautiful children, Benicio (Benny), son of Margarita Martinez, and Maple, daughter of Rikki
Arguelles.
Sergio was known for his boisterous personality; he was courageous, witty, sensitive, and
strong. He was never afraid to be himself; we will remember his quirky style, his satire jokes,
and his big bear hugs. Sergio was an intelligent man; this allowed him to see beyond face value
and love and feel deeply. Sergio loved his children and was a fun, lighthearted dad, he loved
introducing his children to new experiences showing them anything is possible. He had a
contagious laugh, pensive thoughts, and an animated personality.
He is survived by his son Benny (8yrs) and his daughter Maple (2yrs); his mother Tamarind
Moreno, and his father Herculano De Leon; his four sisters Mackienze, Aubriana, Isabel, and
Jessica. Sergio has many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Sergio was preceded
in death by his paternal grandfather Larry Stewart, the family dog Yogi, and his cat Coby.
A celebration of Sergio’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on September 14th, 2024, at the Premier
Funeral Services Midvale Chapel. His family and friends will honor his memory with a viewing
and memorial service. Sergio was known to call himself the human version of Garfield, his
family will honor his love for lasagna and sushi with a small gathering at a family home (please
ask family for details).
Sergio will be missed by many and loved by all who knew him. Sergio’s adventurous personality
and unwavering dedication to his family and friends will be remembered greatly by all who had
the privilege of knowing him. His family lays him to rest, knowing he is at peace.
