Shane Boyd Prettyman's Obituary
Occasionally a person is born with a tender heart, brilliant mind, vibrant personality, and enchanting sense of humor. One of these people was Shane Boyd Prettyman, son of Charlene and Kent Prettyman. He joined us on February 4, 1981. Shane had a very sensitive spirit and often found this life to be extremely challenging emotionally. His soul may now rest where the weight of the world cannot reach him. His transition ended on March 4, 2026.
His most joyful and fulfilling moments were spent with his daughter Scarlett. Shane had many friendships that spanned decades because he made people feel seen, welcomed, and safe to be themselves. Shane loved deeply and was particularly great with children, including his three nieces, Sammi, Paige and Ella. He will be greatly missed by his mother, his sister Megan Tilman, his father and stepmother Francine and her children, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
We are planning a celebration of Shane’s life on May 17th at a local park, to be specified later. We look forward to everyone sharing their pictures and memories of Shane at that time. We embrace Shane as an angel among us as we navigate life without his magnetic presence.
