Shannon Corbett's Obituary
Our beloved Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle and Cousin, and friend Shannon Corbett, 60 years old, passed away peacefully at home in West Haven, UT on January 9th, 2025 in his husbands care. Shannon fought long and hard in hospitals, nursing homes and finally at home against his liver, kidney and lung diseases which eventually took his life.
Shannon was born on June 3rd. 1964 in Ogden, UT to Bonnie Mae Edwards Corbett and Robert Corbett. Shannon really enjoyed the debate team in Anchorage Alaska where he graduated High School. He moved back to the main 48 states with his mom shortly after graduation. He moved on to become an Ops Manager. Shannon loved his memories of going camping and spending time with his Husband, his Mom, his cousins and aunts and uncle’s. Some of his hobbies included cooking, mechanical characters, a lot of different types of music, going to concerts, Country and Otherwise, with his husband, his Mom and his Grandma Edwards. He loved playing card games with his Cousins, his Aunts and Uncles, his Mom, and his Husband. And he was a talented dancer.
He met the love of his life Bryan Peterson, from Pleasant Grove, UT, in Midvale City on September 7th, 2007, and he married Bryan later on August, 6th, 2020 in Provo. They lived their lives together in Layton UT, Phoenix AZ, Sandy UT, Bountiful UT, and finally West Haven UT. Shannon and Bryan, along with his Aunt Pat Havis and Uncle Max Havis took care of Shannon’s Mom Bonnie, while she underwent cancer treatment until December of 2023 when she passed away. Bonnie proceeded Shannon in death. His death was also proceeded by his Father Robert Corbett, his Father In Law Reed Lassen Peterson, his grandmas and grandpas Edwards, Knight and Corbett, his Brother In Law, as well some of his Edwards Aunt and Uncles and some Cousins. Shannon was also proceeded in death by his 2 brothers Henry and Dennis, whom passed away at birth.
Shannon was survived by his Husband Bryan Peterson of 17 years. His Mother In Law RosaLinda Kramer Peterson, his 3 Sister In Laws, 2 Brother In Laws, many Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and Cousins. Shannon you’ll be greatly missed by many. Shannon loved people! Moreover, people loved Shannon! “BSForever!!”
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 8th, 2025 with a pending place and time which will be announced at a later date.
