Sharon Rose Harper's Obituary
Sharon Rose Harper slipped peacefully through the veil the evening of April 17, 2013 surrounded by family members after her valiant struggle with cancer.
Sharon Rose Young was born on September 11, 1950, in Clover, Virginia. She graduated from Nordoff High School in Ojai, California and married Michael George Harper on July 27, 1969. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles, Temple.
Sharon is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has held many responsibilities including faithful service in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. Sharon was heavily involved in family history and is undoubtedly being greeted by countless numbers in open arms with gratitude for her tireless efforts. Sharon served in various ward and stake callings throughout her life but her most important calling was that of a wife, mother and grandmother.
Sharon is preceeded in death by her mother, Nancy Jean Jodon Young and her father Norman Young. She is survived by her husband: Michael, four children: Tammy (Nathan Hicks), Brian (Ashley) Harper, Stephanie (Sean Ricks) and Brent (Jaqui) Harper and 12 grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by her two brothers, Gary Young of Redding California; Larry (Lynette) Young of Ventura, California; and her sister Linda Brown of Lehi, Utah.
Funeral Services will ba at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the LDS Church located at 5208 West Cyclamen Way, West Jordan, Utah. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow the services at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale.
