Our loving mom, sister, grandmother and great grandmother Sharon Gretna Karr, passed away on February 21, 2019, with family by her side in Lehi, Utah.
Sharon was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Trilba Nethercott Strate and Herman B. Strate.
Known for her tenacious, strong will and free spirit, she loved life and the outdoors.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and riding horses.
Sharon was very fond of animals and spent a lot of time working with them on ranches.
She had her own housekeeping and cleaning business.
The Native American Culture had a special place in her heart.
She found great solace, peace and tranquility in the high Uintah Mountains, going there often, which will be her final earthly resting ground.
She saw beauty in all of nature’s scenery from rainbows, majestic snowcapped mountains, flower filled meadows, babbling brooks, glistening white sandy beaches, crimson orange sunsets setting over the sea.
She recognized Gods hand in all his creations. She loved the Lord and has gone back home to be with him again. We will miss her high spirited, energetic personality, beautiful smile with respect for nature & all of life.
Sharon is survived by four children: Debbie Nelson (Jerry), Nick Markham (Corilyn), Mike Greene (Terri), Jake Greene (Heather), 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and her sister Linda Johnson (Bob).
