Our dear wife and mother left this life on Saturday morning with her husband of 45 years by her side.
Sharon was born in Long Beach, CA to Bill M. and Liberty Bell Russell. She married Don H. Kimball, August 17, 1971; solemnized 10 years later in the Salt Lake Temple.
Sharon loved her family deeply and valued every minute she was able to spend with them. She was a nurturer and caretaker by nature. Because of the concern she showed for others, she was lovingly referred to as “Mama Chicken.” She received a Bachelors degree in Sociology and a Masters degree in Education from the University of Utah.
Survived by her husband; children, Matthew R. Kimball, Lara (Mark) Stone, April (Tanner) Thomas; siblings, Jan Nunes, Pat Russell, Rebecca Russell; William (Trine) Russell; step granddaughters, Arianna and Ava Stone.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2nd, 11:00 am at the Kenwood 2nd Ward, 1765 E. 3080 So. Salt Lake City, with a gathering prior to services from 9:30 – 10:45 am. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
