Sharon Kay Palmer's Obituary
Sharon Kay Palmer (Earl), of Salt Lake City, passed away Sunday November 15, 2015 at the age of 66, due to complications after a surgery.
Sharon was born to Delma (Longwell) and Anthony Calvin Earl on October 12, 1949 in Ventura, CA. Our mom grew up in Las Vegas, NV where she graduated from Rancho High School in 1967. She loved the time she lived in Virgin, Utah in her early teens where she spent time running thru the tunnel in Zion. Sharon moved to the Salt Lake area in 1971 working as a teller for Walker Bank and Mountain Fuel in Tooele for many years. She married David Manchester in 1976, they later divorced. Sharon married Dennis Palmer in 1993 and they enjoyed many years together in Vacaville, CA where she had many dear friends and loved working as a teller, even though she encountered 2 armed bank robberies. Our mom wasn’t scared at all, she gave the dye packs and was so happy they were caught!
She loved spending time with her children and grand-children. She enjoyed many different types of flowers, plants, rocks, gardening, the Ocean, HGTV, mystery & murder shows as well as being an avid reader and playing her solitaire game.
Sharon is survived by her children, Kimberly Martin (Christmas), Angela Grant (Christmas), and David Manchester, her grandchildren, Andrew Martin, Ryan Grant, Jacob Martin, Cody Grant, Samuel Martin, Ruby and Kaya Manchester, and a great-grandchild, Lucian Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister (Nana), and husband, Dennis Palmer.
