Sharon Virginia Pehrson's Obituary
Sharon Virginia Pehrson (Pierce), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, sister-in-law and consummate hygge passed away October 01, 2019. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 30, 1939 to Albert Alfonso Pierce and Virginia Williams.
Sharon grew up in Salt Lake County and attended West High School. Known for her Rabelaisian humor, Sharon made friends wherever she went. She worked at Mitchell’s Nursery in Holladay for many years where she was a customer favorite, and then at Sam’s Club in Murray. UT where she made many lasting friendships.
Sharon is survived by daughter Tracie Jo (Richardson), son Thomas, her sister-in-law, Berva Beckstead, Nieces Debbie and Christy, Nephews Steve, Scott, Brad, Bret and Mitch, 5 grandchildren (Cameron, Dragon, Salem, Benjamin and Sabrina) and her life-long friend Vera Rasmussen. She is preceded in death by her precious husband Tom, her sister Beverly and her brothers Jack and Donald.
The Family would like to give special heartfelt thanks to all of the exceptional staff at Signature Healthcare at home, as well as the nurses, aides and other staff at Golden Living Senior in Taylorsville, UT. Sharon will be interred next to Tom at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park.
