Shauna Rae Langford's Obituary
On May 30, 2023 Shauna Rae Langford passed through the veil, in her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Shauna was born to Searl O. Huish and Thelma S. Singleton in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 17, 1949. She attended Cypress High School in Magna, Utah where she starred as “Bloody Mary” in the musical South Pacific.
Shauna met her sweetheart Robert R. Langford in May 1968. They were Sealed in the Salt Lake temple shortly after on December 6, 1968. They were blessed with 3 sons and 1 daughter. Shaun R. (Rashell) Langford, Tommy S. (Trisha) Langford, Amy T. (Eric) Strong, and Darin G. (Jaren) Langford. Their posterity has grown even further with 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, which Shauna loved her grandchildren more than anything else, because they brought her so much joy to be around them.
Shauna had a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many various callings, but her favorite was conducting the music during Sacrament Meeting. Since she had a deep love for music because of the spirit it would bring. She always knew the perfect song to sing in any circumstances.
Shauna’s life’s work was of service and love for everyone. She always had a happy positive attitude with a beautiful smile no matter the situation. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and kind friend to everyone she met. She always made you feel loved and welcome. She lived her life to be Christlike in everything she did and said. She truly will be missed.
Shauna worked as a hairdresser, in her home in Bluffdale. She also worked as an intervener in the Murray School District for the Deaf and Blind where she grew a great love for those with disabilities, or less fortunate. This is where she took care of Matthew Robinson. She loved him as her own child and took care of him until he passed in 1999. Later she worked in Bluffdale at Audio Enhancement as a receptionist where she gained even more lifelong friends.
Around 1982 she had her parents move into her home in Bluffdale, so she could help take care of them. She devoted much of her life providing amazing loving care to her parents until they both passed away.
Shauna has a very special soul and a neat spirit about her. She always had something nice to say about everyone and would never want to hurt anyone. She just wanted to spread joy to everyone.
Shauna is survived by her sister Gaylene (Gerald) Clements, and preceded in death by by both of her parents Searl and Thelma Huish and her sister “Toby” (Larry) Wilson.
*Special thanks to her son Shaun, for caring for her until the very end. The family would also like to thank Marcy Rowley, her doctor for over 20 years, and Ana Joos for her tender service to Shauna.
