Shauna Laree Terry's Obituary
Shauna Laree Terry
“Gigi”
Shauna peacefully left this world to the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father and many loved ones who have passed before her in the early evening hours of March 14, 2021. Our beautiful mother was born August 29, 1947 and grew up in the Utah County Provo area. She was raised and cared for by her Grandma Frandsen, her sister Kathleen and big brother Alva.
Shauna married Paul Terry in 1963, Paul joined the USAF and they traveled and were stationed all around the country. Shauna and Paul had two children, Jana Lynn and Russell Paul. Shauna and Paul were later divorced. In April 1996 Shauna met the man who would be the love of her life, Billie Bledsaw. They made their home in Layton, Utah and had many adventures, the majority of which were spending time with their family.
Shauna worked and retired from AAFES; where she made many lifelong friends and built relationships that she held dear to her throughout the rest of her life. Shauna was the #1 Dallas Cowboys fan and proudly displayed her allegiance to them. She passed on her love of all things Dallas to MOST of her children and grandchildren.
Shauna was very outspoken, strong willed and some would say stubborn, a trait Al and Kathleen say she came by honestly. That same trait she has passed onto many of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In 2015 Shauna found what she was truly meant to be when she became a great grandmother, or in her case “Gigi”. From that day forward, the universe shifted and while she still loved us all, the great grandbabies were the absolute loves of her life and she was their “Gigi”!
Shauna is survived by her Ride-or-Die best friend Bill Bledsaw; sister Kathleen (Bruce) Robarge; brother Alva (Gloria) Nelson; children Jana (Mont) Penman; Russell (Jill) Terry; Billie (Maria) Bledsaw; and Leslie Bledsaw, grandchildren; Joe (Angela) Vockler, Shauna Vockler, Jacob (Amanda) Vockler, Josh (Hallie) Terry, Madison Van Voris, Houston Terry, Isaiah Bledsaw and Aaron Bledsaw - great grandchildren; Penelope Terry, Isaiah Vockler, Novalie Hoopes, Olivia Vockler, Savannah Vockler, Roman Van Voris, Emmah Vockler and Baby Boy Vockler (April 2021).
Shauna leaves behind a legacy of fierce and protective love for each member of her family. She loved with her whole heart, she was the matriarch of our family and will be missed each and every day.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Premier Funeral Home 5335 S 1950 W Roy, Utah 84067. The family would like to thank Canyon Hospice and her nurse, Heidi for her loving care of our mom the last few months
