My heart nor my words can express enough how sorry I am to hear of Shawn's passing.
Shawn was a dear friend to me, there are so many things I will miss - sense of humor, how very much she cared for others and mostly that she was...well Shawn. Out lives went back very many years as roommates, softball buddies, cat lovers among other things.
In sadness - it is my heart to your heart.

Shawn always had a ready smile on her face and in her voice. She was a caring person, coworker and friend. Shawn was concerned about the welfare of anyone around her and her friends were just part of her family.

I am incredibly sad to hear about the passing of Shawn and wish I was there in person to share memories, laugh, cry and give you a hug.

My deapest sympathies to Shawn Lin's brother Cole and to her mother Sharon. Lin as I knew her was a wonderful friend. Her love of animals and her love of her family were some her greatest strenght's. Even though we had lost contct with each other over the years, anytime I played golf she came to mind. If it were not for her I wouldn't be working for Laguna PD as she is the one who got me the application. I can remember having her mother and brother over for a Christmas dinner one of my first years living here in Laguna Beach. She will be dearly missed by all.
I am so sorry for the loss her family is going through at this time. She was an amazing person with a big heart. I met her at work many years ago and had the pleasure to train her as a dispatcher. She always did whatever she could for people. She will be missed by so many. God speed.
Shawn IS such a POWER HOUSE! Everyday at work I looked forward to seeing her smile, hear her laugh and be around her great energy! She made a hard job just a little easier! She always had time to talk, and I knew she would listen, and do her best to help. Love and miss you Shawn.
