Sheila D. Gibson's Obituary
Sheila D. Gibson, age 76, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Mountain Point Medical Center in Lehi, Utah. She was born to Leonard A. and Luta Shelton on August 31, 1945, in Albany, California.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Gibson; her son, Aaron Gibson, and his wife, Genee Gibson; her stepson, Troy Gibson; her son-in-law, Taylor Hartley; and her grandchildren, Stephen Gibson, Juliana Gibson, and Jeremiah Gibson; and many others who loved her dearly. Her parents; her son, Benjamin Gibson; and daughter, Jamie Hartley, preceded her in death.
Sheila worked as a computer programmer for the United States Army until she retired in 2004. In her spare time, she loved researching genealogy, reading, and spending time with her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Hillside Ward Chapel at 676 North Eagle View Drive, Alpine, Utah. The funeral service will be held at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The graveside service will be held at the Orem City Center, 1520 North 800 East, Orem, Utah, immediately following the funeral service. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 512 Hillside Circle, Alpine, Utah 84004.
