Shelley Briggs Anderson's Obituary
On March 13, 2019 I lost the love of my life, Shelley Briggs Anderson, my constant companion for over 45 years, to cancer. She was a dearly beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Shelley made sure everyone felt special, had a very positive attitude, had an infectious smile, made friends easily and will be greatly missed. Shelley was born in 1954 to A. Grant Briggs and Jetta Wood Briggs. Shelley was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a true disciple of Jesus Christ. She served in many callings including Stake Young Women’s President, Ward Relief Society President, Ward Young Women’s President and as counselors to the same. She is survived by myself her husband Val J. Anderson, children, Shanna (John) Grandjean, Von (Mary) Anderson, Nathan (Rachael) Anderson, Ashley (Cameron) Stewart, Kevin Anderson and 14 grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother Jetta W Briggs, sister Sharon Briggs, sister Caren (Bryce) Clinger, sister Elaine (Mark) Chessler, sister Rene Reid and brother Alan (Alison) Briggs. Funeral services will be held at the Midvale East 6th Ward (7250 South 300 East) at 10:30 am on Saturday March 23rd. Viewings will be held at the same location 90 minutes before the funeral service and on Friday March 22nd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Internment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
