Sheri Lance's Obituary
Sheri Lance, 73, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away on June 13, 2025, at Legacy House of Taylorsville.
She was born on June 26, 1951, in Brigham City, Utah, to M. Reese and Miriam Wilcox Jensen. Sheri graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City and went on to attend Brigham Young University, where she studied fashion merchandising. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix. Sheri enjoyed a successful career in the banking industry. She married Garry Vernon Lance, and together they had one child.
Sheri found joy and identity in her work, and in the relationships and accomplishments that came with it. Her drive, integrity, and tireless effort left a lasting impression on colleagues, and she formed many cherished friendships throughout her career.
For the last 16 years, Sheri bravely faced significant health challenges that prevented her from fully doing the things she once loved. Despite the limitations of her illness, she never lost her spirit or determination. Sheri was a true fighter—defying expectations and pushing forward with strength, grace, and unwavering resilience. Her courage and will to live inspired all who knew her, and she continued to bring light and love to those around her even in the hardest of times.
She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Browning (Mike Browning); her granddaughters, Melissa and Riley Browning; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, M. Reese and Miriam Wilcox Jensen; her brother, Mark Jensen; and her sister, Julie Walgren.
The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice for the exceptional end-of-life care they provided over the past eight months. They also wish to thank Legacy House of Taylorsville for caring for Sheri over the past six years.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on June 30, 2025, at the Brigham City Cemetery.
