I did not know Shirley, but in her obituary I note that she attended the Chicago Logan Square Ward. My family attended that ward 1943 - 1955 (I then 3 - 15, now 72). Therefore, I feel a closeness to her. I wish that I had met her as an adult (a neighbor) so that we could share some common associations and acquaintances. That's a good thing about the Church.
I did not know Barbara, but I note in her obituary that for a period she was in the Chicago Logan Square Ward, which my family attended from 1943 to 1955 (I then aged 3 to 15, am now 72EE). Thus, our lives overlapped and we had common associations. Therefore, I feel a closeness to her and wish that I had met her in recent years, when both as adults, we could share memories.
Shirley is my dearest mentor and friend from Utah. Her love will always be with me. I cannot find words to say how much she ment and means to me forever. Jaana Wallace
So so sorry to hear about your mom Marci. I remember meeting her several years ago on a trip to happy valley. Try and remember how many people out there love you all and are thinking of you and praying for your peace of mind and comfort.
Love you, Gayle
