Sister Thomas was truly our mission mother. She always saw the best in us as we served in the Australia Melbourne Mission. I loved helping her prepare dinners for new or departing missionaries, as well as visiting General Authorities. She was so kind like my own Mother. I will love her forever for her great influence in my life. I am trying to live a good life so that she and President Thomas can be proud of me.
Ryan, Ann and family--We are sorry to see that Your mother, Ryan, passed away.We have fond memories of her and your father.. She was so humble and sweet in addition to her many other talents.
. We have lost track of your lives but hope you are doing well. We are in St. George and hanging on. Joan has a debilitating neurological disease and is on hospice. I am the care giver. But we do OK. We are happy to be together and try to enjoy each day.
We express our heart felt condolences to Ryan, Angie and their families. At 95 years Shirley has had a remarkable life. She and Bob have significantly blessed numerous lives by providing counsel and encouragement at pivotal moments. Such has been the case for Keith. Thank you, thank you.
Love, Keith & Marylin Taylor Stirling
Shirley gave an amazing scriptural presentation years ago in Philadelphia. I had never heard firsthand a woman with such a deep understanding of the scriptures. When I moved to Provo, Barbara Lewis and Shirley extended their friendship and support to me. Shirley commands my highest respect, gratitude and appreciation.
