Sina Lucille Ahlberg's Obituary
Sina Lucille Bunting Ahlberg passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born on May 27, 1931 to Robert Owen Bunting and Verl Lucille Grose in St. George, Utah. She married Joseph Dale Ahlberg on December 14, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. Immediately following their marriage, Dale served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States which was financed by Sina.
Sina was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved everyone and always had a cheerful, positive outlook. She excelled at cake decorating, upholstery and candy making. She was renowned for her hand dipped chocolates. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Bunting, sister, Barbara Arwood and her five children: Karen (Tom) Roberson, Joe (Becky) Ahlberg, Mark (Carla) Ahlberg, Sheryl Ahlberg, Julie (Dave) Olsen; 22 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Verl Schiess, and husband, Joseph Dale Ahlberg.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 am, Murray 15th Ward, 5555 South 700 West, Murray, Utah. Viewing from 9:45 – 10:45, at the same location, prior to the funeral.
The family expresses gratitude to all the kind and loving caregivers at the Beehive Home of Draper and to Signature Hospice who assisted with her care. We also give our thanks to her devoted friend, Elaine, who faithfully called her each day for, at least, the last 6 years.
