Skylar was born in Provo, Utah on June 4, 1959 to Drusilla Perry Eckersley and Frank Reed Dimick. Growing up he lived in Murray and then American Fork, where he graduated from American Fork High School.
In 1987 he married his best friend Jenny and they raised 2 children together; their daughter Amber and son Steven. Later they were blessed with 4 grandsons; Ashton, Austin, Dylan & Otini and 2 great grandsons; Harrison & Henry.
Skylar has always loved being part of the community which led him to his careers. For several years he was a police officer for Provo. He then spent 30+ years being a firefighter/paramedic for Gold Cross, Lone Peak Fire Dept. (Highland), American Fork Fire Dept. and Tooele Army Depot. He had a great love for helping people in need.
Skylar loved the outdoors, which including camping, 4-wheeling, fishing, hunting, and making fantastic campfire meals. He enjoyed doing all of this with his family at Little Yellowstone Campground, where he shared his knowledge and love for his family’s generational camp site. He proudly carried on the tradition of holding family reunions here. One of his dreams was to travel and go 4-wheeling everywhere he could.
Skylar loved adventure, holidays and wearing crazy & fun outfits to celebrate them all! It brought so much joy to him and all of us. We will miss his fun personality.
