Truman Proctor
Uncle Kent was such a quiet, wise man. I always loved our interactions. There is one joke that I remember him telling that I don't think I will ever forget..
There was a native american family who sat around a fire in their teepee, and one at a time, each of their children asked "how did I get my name?"
First, the father said "The morning you were born, I stepped out and saw a beautiful soaring Eagle, and do that's what we decided to call you, Soaring Eagle."
"What about me?" said the second child.
"When you were born, I stepped out that morning and saw a beautiful deer running through the field, so we decided to name you Running Deer."
"What about me", asked the third child, to which the father replied "Why do you ask, pooping dog?" 😊
Kent was such a solemn quiet light to the world and I know he has left a hole that can't be filled. Our prayers from Kansas to Rosemary and the family. We love you.
