Stephanie Edwards Ferguson's Obituary
Stephanie Edwards Ferguson, a loving mother, grandma, GG, and sister, was born on July 22, 1947, to Bernell and Maxine Edwards in Salt Lake City, Utah. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 19, 2026 at the age of 78.
Stephanie was the oldest of three children. She attended and graduated from Highland High School and, shortly thereafter, married Ernest Ferguson. Together they had two daughters, Wendy and Shannon.
After Stephanie and Ernest divorced, she discovered a passion for woodworking. She loved creating beautiful pieces of furniture, from side tables to a cherished hutch she built for her daughter. Following her retirement, she enjoyed traveling to Hawaii with her childhood best friend, Ilene.
Later, Stephanie began volunteering at the genealogy library with several wonderful ladies from her neighborhood, affectionately known as the "Library Girls." She treasured the friendships she made there.
Stephanie was a loving, kind, accepting, generous, and hardworking woman who was deeply loved and admired by her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved.
She is survived by her two daughters, Wendy (Tony) and Shannon (Bill); her three grandchildren, Ashlee, Arryn, and Sydnee Funk; her three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Isabelle Funk, and Ophelia Jobson; her brother, Randy (Nancy); her sister, Cindy (Warren); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernell and Maxine Edwards; her former husband, Ernest Ferguson; and her niece, Tami Edwards.
A viewing will be held at Premier Funeral Services on Friday, July 31, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
