Stephanie Garst Wilcox's Obituary
Stephanie Garst Wilcox was born on September 26, 1993, in New York, and left this world far too soon on August 19, 2025, in Roy, Utah. To know Stephanie was to feel her light—her smile, her laugh, and her quick wit could brighten even the darkest day. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, loved, and at ease.
Stephanie grew up in New York and Florida, making memories with family and friends that she cherished for life. She attended Transfiguration School and Jupiter Community High School before going on to study biomedical sciences at the University of Central Florida, where she proudly earned her degree.
Always drawn to caring for others, Stephanie trained as an EMT in North Carolina and went on to serve in Knoxville, Tennessee. Later, her adventurous spirit carried her across the country to Utah, where she built a career as a respected Clinical Research Coordinator—approaching her work with the same heart and determination she gave to everything in her life.
But Stephanie’s greatest joy was found in her relationships. She loved her family deeply and poured her heart into every friendship. And when she met Brendan “Will” Wilcox, her life found its center. Will was her safe place—her calm, her comfort, and her greatest adventure partner. Together they shared sports, hikes in the mountains, yoga sessions, and travels near and far. Their wedding in Italy, surrounded by family and friends, was the happiest day of her life and a celebration of the love they built together.
Though she radiated light, Stephanie also carried silent struggles with her mental health. She faced them with courage, but they were part of her journey. She will be remembered not for her struggles, but for her love, her laughter, and the way she made life brighter for everyone she knew.
Stephanie is survived by her beloved husband, Brendan “Will” Wilcox; her devoted mother, Doreen Michelle Garst; her loving father, Edward Lawrence Garst; and her dear brother, Eric Anthony Garst. Her light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Services to honor and celebrate Stephanie’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 1:00 p.m. at 825 S 50 E, Farmington, Utah 84025.
