I just found out about his passing after the New Year. My condolences to the family!!!

Golly...I've known the Hutchings virtually my entire life. Steve was my dentist while he was still in the Army, and I started babysitting first for Stephanie, and then Laura when she was born. The summer they opened their practice in Copperas Cove, I had just graduated from high school and watched Stephanie all summer during the day, and then took classes during the evenings at CTC.

What I remember about Steve is his skill at the piano and organ...but that's probably because I'm a musician myself. I hope to get in touch with Sherrie since we are both in Utah County.

I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Hutchins passing. I remember many years of meeting him and Sherry on our walks through the neighborhood. I remember his coming to the office during Christmas holidays to fix my husband’s tooth. I remember their lovely note after my husband died and their special visit to my house while on one of their walks . I remember the beautiful photos on his office walls that I enjoyed so much. I was surprised and saddened to hear of the passing of Pres. Hutchings from our old Killeen Stake. I remember him as gentle, caring and stalwart. I know our Heavenly Father will bless his family in the future. My love to Sherrie and family with such fond memories.

I am sorry for your loss. The service for him today was beautiful. I had forgotten about the blue truck that y'all used to drive and the Isuzu dealership in Killeen Mall! I always think of you your family as I pass your old house on FM 116 and the old dental office on 190. May the memories of your father continue to bring smiles, laughter and warmth as you deal with his loss.

Ft Hood shooting. We took a break and watched it on tv. He was a great dentist and friend!
