Steve Ellertson's Obituary
Our loving husband, father, son and brother passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 30, 2024 at the age of 52.
Steve was born on January 27, 1972 to Craig and JoLene Ellertson in Carmel, California. He graduated from Kearns High School and went on to explore various occupations from county and city maintenance worker to various retail jobs. He grew to love his co-workers at Savers and valued them as family.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. At one time he explored the option of being a hunting guide. And he even spent years participating in the rodeo circuit. Once a cowboy, always a cowboy!
Everywhere he went, Steve had a way of making life-long friends who became more like family. Steve enjoyed watching the Pittsburg Steelers and listening to the music of George Strait. Despite the difficulties he sometimes endured, he always stayed strong and kept his sense of humor.
His greatest joys were spending time with his loving wife, Krissy whom he met in 2016 and married in 2022, watching his children grown up, his new granddaughter, and hanging out with his buddies.
Survived by his wife, Krissy, his children Sierra (Avery) Bryner, Colten (Rylee) Ellertson, and his granddaughter, Kyree. He is also survived by his parents, Craig and JoLene, his sister, Jennifer (Shane) Jenkins and his brother, Jeff (Crystal) Ellertson and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Hayley, and his grandparents.
A celebration of life is being planned for January. Date, time, and place will be announced at a later time.
A viewing will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 6 until 8 pm at the Premier Funeral Services, 67 East 8000 South, Midvale, Utah.
