Steve Edy Lefler's Obituary
Steve Edy Lefler, 62, born August 24, 1963, passed away on June 30, 2026, at home surrounded by those he loved.
Steve lived a life filled with humor, adventure, and love for his family.
Steve was the youngest of his siblings and was always referred to as the baby, no matter how old he was. He was such a cute baby with the curliest hair that his sisters would dress him in dresses and pretend he was their baby doll.
Early in life, Steve married Betty Jo Kelly, and they were blessed with a daughter, Bobbie. They divorced and he later found Alex Jones, who held a special place in his heart and was the mother of his son Titon—their bond remained deeply meaningful during this difficult time. Steve valued the closeness of his family relationships.
A man of many talents and interests, Steve spent a short time in California working as a pool installer before returning to Utah. Once he returned, he worked alongside his brother at Hi Valley Chemical and later at Amazon. His work ethic was matched only by his passion for the outdoors.
Steve loved going camping and fishing with his children. He thought he was always the best fisherman until his son Titon proved him wrong. He treasured the times he spent hunting with his dad and brother. These moments in nature were some of the most meaningful experiences of his life.
Steve’s sense of humor was one of his defining traits. Known for his witty remarks and humorous observations about life’s situations, he brought laughter to all those around him. His daughter Bobbie is now carrying on that tradition.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Jo (Joe) Gonzales, and son, Titon Sun Lefler. Grandchildren Austin and Carson, his siblings, Marie Price, Sandra (Larry) Vess, Joe Price, Teresa (Terry) Haagensen, Rose (Jack) Conkle, Ralph Lefler and many nieces and nephews.
Steve’s heart was full of love for all the people in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mart Levere Lefler and Elsa Louise (Winterfeldt) Lefler; granddaughter, Gracie Ann Walkingshaw; nephew, Ralph Petric; and niece, Heidi Marie Rykhus.
May Steve’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him. His legacy of laughter, love for the outdoors, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who shared in his life’s journey.
The family wishes to thank Chaplain Deanne, Social Worker Kathy and Kelly, his Hospice nurse, for their guidance during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
