• 1960 - Graduated High School and joined the US Air Force
• 1960 - Served the USAF in the USA and West Germany
• 1965 - Joined Sunnyvale Public Safety Department as a Police Officer and Fireman - Sunnyvale, CA
• 1968 - Joined San Jose Police Department as a Police Officer and member of the SWAT Team - San Jose, CA
• 1968 - Married Ann Griffin - San Jose, CA
• 1971 - First child born - Brent Stephen Meltzer - Santa Clara, CA
• 1972 - Graduated Summa Cum Laude, Bachelor of Science Degree - Bethany University (Bethany Bible College)
• 1972 - Worked in Europe with Youth With A Mission, and Underground Evangelism
• 1975 - Second child born - Zachary Thomas Meltzer - Schwabmuenchen, West Germany
• 1976 - Returned to the USA
• 1977 - Accepted first Pastorate Little Brown Church - Bigfork, MT
• 1977 - Third child born - Mandy Valeron Meltzer - Kalispell, MT
• 1979 - Received Masters Degree of Divinity

• 1980 - Accepted Pastorate Community Alliance Church - Havre, MT
• 1982 - Accepted Pastorate Missoula Alliance Church - Missoula, MT
• 1985 - Accepted Pastorate Southdale Alliance Church - Winnipeg, MB, Canada
• 1991 - Accepted Pastorate Piedmont Neighborhood Church - Piedmont, CA
• 1992 - Chaplain and Reserve Police Officer Piedmont Police Department - Piedmont, CA
• 1992 - Became involved in Prison Visitation Ministry
• 1993 - Awarded Reserve Police Officer Of The Year - Piedmont Police Department - CA
• 1994 - Accepted Pastorate Salt Lake Alliance Church/ Discovery Christian Community - Murray, UT
• 1996 - Developed Police Chaplaincy Program in conjunction with the Sandy City Police Chief. Expanded program to Police Departments of South Jordan, Midvale, and Valley Emergency Communications Center (911, Police & Fire Dispatch). Served concurrently as Chaplain for Civil Air Patrol Teen Unit through rank of Major - Draper, UT
• 2012 - Traveled for three weeks on a missionary tour to various locales in Indonesia. Became ill during this trip and upon returning to the US, developed a chronic cough.
• 2013 - Diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease & Pulmonary Fibrosis
• December 31, 2014 - Retired due to debilitating progression of Interstitial Lung Disease
• 2015 - Enjoyed spending time with family while navigating progressing health issues.
• May 6, 2020 - Passed away peacefully at home as he requested, in the arms of his son, Zachary.
Survived by his wife, Ann Meltzer; Son - Brent Meltzer (Karana); Son - Zachary Meltzer (Melissa); Daughter - Mandy Meltzer Judd (Mark);
10 grandchildren: Rowan, Gryphyn, Chloe, Merrick, Vahn, Ada, Hannah, Meris, Otto, Maverick.
May 13, 2020 - Interment at Sandy City Cemetery
