Steve Jospeh Vargo's Obituary
Steve was born to Vivian June Forester and Steve Vargo, in Portland, Oregon on October 10, 1944. Steve grew up he lived with his grandmother for several years. He was raised and educated in different areas, of Portland, Pendleton, LaGrand, and Milton-Freewater and He graduated from McLoughlin High School in Milton-Freewater.
Steve joined the Navy in 1967-1973. He married Linda Edgerly Burns, and they had 3 children together. Then they later divorced. Steve love golfing, playing pool, going dancing and bowling. Most of all being around family. Steve was a truck driver most of his life. And love working on cars.
In 1996 he married his lifelong partner Merrilin Kay Carter, they had 27 ½ years together and 20 years of marriage.
Steve passed from complications with pneumonia and heart failure on February 7, 2017.
He left behind his wife Merrilin; 7 children, Steve Paxton (Velda); Andrew Vargo (Cindy);
Roberta Jackson; Tony Carter (Nancy); William Taylor; Sarah Mildon (Shon); Tim Taylor (Kari); and 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; He has 2 brothers, Robert Vargo; and Danny Vargo.
He grew up with his cousins, and Uncles and Aunts. He loved running around with his Uncle Jerry Forester.
He is preceded in death by his parents, family and friends.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Premier Funeral Services of Roy, located at 5335 South 1950 West, Roy, UT 84067. Military honors will be held at 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home prior to the viewing.
