Steven Alan Feigel's Obituary
Steven Alan Feigel passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 26, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he lived a life full of learning, world travel, and adventure.
After serving honorably in the Marine Corps from 1958 to 1960, Steve embraced his passion for travel and exploration, calling many places around the world his home before settling in Orem, Utah, in 1999. From sunny Arizona to the rugged mountains of Colorado, the landscapes of California, the deserts of Saudi Arabia, and the base of the majestic Himalayas in India, Steve truly lived as a world adventurer. Wherever he went, he left behind a trail of stories and cherished memories.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Betty Louise Feigel, and their beloved children: Jeffrey Mowen, Cassia Verzello, Sheldon Feigel, Tami Steggell, Cindy Feigel, Jason Feigel, Kim Willis, and Kristin Grow. He is also cherished by 31 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Regina Tew, Steve leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and intelligence. He found joy in fishing, hiking, solving sophisticated math puzzles, and diving into history books. Known for his sharp wit and deep sense of intellectual humor, he delighted in clever wordplay, thought-provoking jokes, and laughter that made you think twice.
As a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Steve had a profound knowledge of the gospel, and his faith was the cornerstone of his life. He dedicated over 20 years of service as an avid Scoutmaster through his church, guiding and mentoring countless scouts.
