Steven Fred Painter's Obituary
Steven Fred Painter, age 63, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on November 12, 2018 from cancer. He was born in Nephi, Utah on September 21, 1955 to Fred and Sadie Painter.
Steve is survived by his wife Karen Painter, his siblings; Gene Painter (Cheryl), Joyce McCaffery and Marion Lee (Charlotte) Greenhalgh. He is proceeded in death by his father Fred, mother Sadie, brothers David and Evan Greenhalgh and sister Jeneil Greenhalgh Wing. Steve joined the Air Force in 1972 and received a honorable discharge from both the Air Force and Army in 1974. He has worked for Rocky Mountain Helicopters, Tooele Army Depot and Overland Trucking until he was disabled from his illness in 2011. Steve married his first wife in 1980, Sally Haycock, and gained four step-children; Tim, Tonja, Nicole and Kimberly. They were married for 15 years. In 1997, he moved to Michigan and married DeAnn Martin. They were married for 14 years. On June 9, 2017, he married his high school sweetheart, Karen Talbot, and joined her family with her daughters; Brandie Marshall and Kelly (Jim) Brierley and 4 grandchildren. Steve enjoyed working on computers, fishing and taking care of his wife and making her laugh. He was a kind man with a big heart and we will miss him dearly. At Steve’s request, he will be cremated with no funeral services. A special thanks to the VA, Encompass Home Health & Hospice and Premier Funeral Services for all of their care and support through this difficult time.
